New MerCruiser 4.5 L 250 hp sterndrives went in during 2018, fitted with new drives and matched to Mercury DTS digital controls and SmartCraft instrumentation. They have run only 350 hours since and the engine bay shows it: clean, dry and tidy. The upgrades carried through the rest of the boat: Garmin GPSMAP with sounder at the lower helm, a second Garmin display and Mercury VesselView on the flybridge, GME VHF and Fusion Bluetooth audio, cockpit and side decks re-laid in foam teak-look decking, and a near-new stainless plough anchor on an electric winch controlled from the helm.
She boards over a fixed fibreglass swim platform running the full width of the transom, into a large and genuinely open cockpit with deep storage hatches underfoot and a cushioned lounge across the back, flanked by open lockers either side. A stainless bait board to port as well as a live bait tank under the forward couch seat.Opposite, to starboard, a wet bar carries a stainless sink with pressure water, cupboards beneath, a 240 V fridge and a portable stove, with a barbeque for the transom. A second lounge runs forward to port and takes an infill to make a further berth. Varnished timber steps lead up to the flybridge, where a bench seat spans the full width. Forward and down, a V-berth sleeps two, with storage around it and a deck hatch overhead that opens into the anchor well.
What sets her apart is how much boat sits inside 26 feet. Two helm stations on this size of hull is rare — an enclosed wheelhouse when the weather turns, a flybridge when it doesn’t — and the full grey storm cover system closes in both the flybridge and the entire cockpit, so she can be shut up and walked away from. She fishes hard on Saturday and sleeps two in comfort on Saturday night.
